Our TV broke down!

Even though we listen to a lot of danish radio mainly classical with news in the morning or 80's disco, it was quite a shock when our TV (30" Thomson LCD from sometime 2004?) in our livingroom went black screen this morning! Just as when this happened to our 14" bedroom TV earlier we have fixed the situation... the bedroom TV we purchased back then (32" Samsung LCD) is now sitting in our living room! At least myself like to think of us as non-tv-junkies, but I know it is not entirely true!

Now we are looking at getting a plasma 42" TV which i have had problems getting my wife convinced we really need! So maybe it isnt all bad, an early birthday present for me! I have had problems seeing the odd formats that some stations have been transmitting in starting about 3-4 months ago! It gets worse if its some movie in what seeks like 16:some-thing-lower-than-9-at-least... it reminds me of playing Doom on 386 computer which was only possible with a cookie-picture(danish: kiksebillede)!!

I am not sure if we will get one with digital tuner, because we have Viasat satelite box and even with cable TV digi tuner is not needed. It should only be needed if we want to setup signal from old analog antenna so we probably wont pay that extra. According to our favorite danish pricechecker, we can get it at our frontdoor for around dkk 9000 wihtout digituner, or 10000 with a digital tuner!

Oh btw, I will consider this our first post on our blog, since we never really felt a need for it earlier
